Australia Government Scholarships 

Australia Awards

The awards are offered to people from developing countries for full time undergraduate or postgraduate study at

  • Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutions

The Australia Awards - Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships

These Scholarships and Fellowships are for international students from the participating countries who wish to undertake study, research or professional development in Australia. 

 

Award Benefits 

  • Tuition Fees including student service and amenities fees (paid up to the maximum study/research duration) 
  • Travel Allowance 
  • Establishment Allowance: 
  • Monthly Stipend 
  • Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) 
  • Endeavour scholarship recipients will also receive 

 

Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP)

The International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS) program have been replaced with Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) from 1st January 2017. 

Offered to 

The Research Training Program (RTP) is offered to both native and foreign students undertaking 

  • Research Doctorate and 
  • Research Masters degrees 

Applications 

Applications for the scholarships have to be made directly to the participating university. 

 

Support to RTP Scholarship recipients: (One or more of the following benefits) 

  • Tuition Fees 
  • Stipend for Living Costs 
  • Certain Ancillary Costs like Relocation Costs 
  • HDR Thesis Printing 
  • Academic Publication Costs and 
  • Health Cover Costs for recipients and their dependents 

*Note: A university must only provide one or more of the following types of support to RTP Scholarship recipient 

 

Australian University Scholarships 

The terms and conditions for scholarships vary from university to university. So if you’re applying to a private university, it would be appropriate to check for the details on the university website.

It would be really useful if you make a checklist of all the potential scholarship providers and all the scholarships you are eligible for. keep track of the costs they cover, the application requirements and the deadlines so that you can apply well in advance.
