From Counsellor to Senior Manager - My Journey of Professional Growth at KC

Today, I am excited to share my remarkable professional evolution at KC Overseas, a journey that has taken me from being a Counsellor to my current role as the Senior Manager Operations & Sales, USA. I am Neelam Chhabra, and I would like to take you through the awe-inspiring narrative of my professional journey at KC Overseas.

Born and raised in the vibrant city of Nagpur, I started my career as a school teacher after completing my Master's degree. During this time, I developed teaching skills and learned valuable lessons about patience and effective communication. My career path then led me to an office setting, where I understood the world of the internet, Microsoft Word, Excel, and various other essential back-end office tasks. Little did I know that these early experiences would lay the foundation for my future at KC Overseas.

In 2006, I crossed paths with KC Overseas, a company with a vision to help students achieve their dreams of studying abroad. I vividly recall my first day at KC, when the organization was a small, close-knit team consisting of 8-10 dedicated individuals. I began my journey as a Counsellor and looking back, I realize how that moment marked the start of an incredible professional experience.

During my 15-year journey with KC, I faced two significant career breaks – one for my marriage, lasting 1 year and 3 months, and the other for maternity, which was 6 months. Career breaks can often result in job loss, but KC Overseas stood by me, offering the required support and motivation to return and continue serving with dedication. Despite these career breaks, my professional growth at KC continued. From being a counsellor, I got promoted to Assistant Manager, then Manager and now I am a Senior Manager. I am immensely grateful to both my KC family and my personal family for their support throughout this journey.

KC Overseas has always been an organization that encourages growth and provides a platform to showcase one's abilities. The management has been incredibly supportive, fostering an environment where team members are not just expected to follow leadership but also allowed to voice their opinions and ideas.

Work-life balance is not just a phrase at KC Overseas; it is a reality enabling us to maintain a perfect work-life equilibrium. Our annual calendar is also adorned with vibrant occasions that resonate with the spirit of togetherness and festivity. Whether it's the patriotic fervour that engulfs us on Independence Day, the festive fervour on Navratri, Diwali, Holi, Christmas, or the Children's Day celebrations, where our little ones were invited and painted our office with laughter and joy, we come together and celebrate every occasion as a close-knit family. So, for me, KC is undoubtedly one of the best companies to work for in India.

I would like to take a moment to extend my heartfelt appreciation to our Founder and Co-Founder who have played a pivotal role in shaping my career at KC Overseas – Mr. Pankaj Agrawal and Mrs. Nalini Agrawal. Their guidance and mentorship have been the compass that has guided me through the ups and downs of my professional journey. Pankaj Sir's visionary leadership has set a high standard for excellence, while Nalini Ma'am's support and encouragement have provided me with the confidence to overcome challenges and pursue my goals relentlessly. Their wisdom, dedication, and belief in my potential have been the driving force behind my accomplishments. I am truly grateful for the privilege of being mentored by such outstanding leaders.
