Scholarship Amount: Up to £26,000

Application Deadline: For 2024 Intakes - 1st February 2024; for 2025 Intakes the application portal will open shortly. 

This scholarship is an outstanding opportunity for international applicants seeking financial support. This fee-only scholarship offers a generous amount of up to £26,000 for international students holding an undergraduate degree from a recognized institution. Eligible applicants from non-native English-speaking countries, including EU candidates, must fulfill the university's English language exam requirement.

 This scholarship is particularly beneficial for those pursuing a one-year full-time masters, MRes, or master's by research. Successful candidates are expected to receive their awards in September 2024. Although the deadline for this scholarship application is now gone but aspirants can keep track of further intakes.

3. Subject-Related Scholarships

Scholarship Type: Merit-Based

Level of Study: Open for All Degrees

Scholarship Amount: Partial or Full Tuition Fee Waivers. (Varies as per subject areas)

Application Deadline: Varies as per subject areas.

4. Sports Scholarships

Scholarship Type: Sports-Based

Level of Study: Open for All Degrees

Scholarship Amount: Sports scholarships do not cover the tuition fees or cost of accommodation. They provide support to elite athletes and coaches by giving them work opportunities. 

Application Deadline: For September 2024 intake applications will open in Spring 2024 and close in early September.

1. Sports Scholarship:  Each year, the University grants numerous sports scholarships to international applicants who actively participate in various sporting events such as BUCS, Olympics, Paralympics, and Commonwealth sports.

This scholarship program offers two levels of support: 'Sports Scholars,' providing maximum access to support services, and 'Supported Athletes,' benefiting from a broader range of services to enhance their sports training. 

2. Coaching Scholarship: This Scholarship is designed to support aspiring coaches in enhancing the quality of coaching provided to students. This presents a unique opportunity for students to develop their skills and potentially become a coach at the University of Leeds.

The scholarship allows candidates to even train their fellow batchmates all while collaborating with senior coaches and receiving guidance from mentors. Eligibility for this scholarship requires candidates to hold an NGB Level 1 or 2 equivalent qualification in their chosen sport, ensuring a strong foundation for coaching excellence.
