The Student Visa Application Procedure for Singapore 

  • The best part of Singapore’s student visa application process is that the University or Institution will lodge student pass applications electronically with the ICA (Immigration & Checkpoint Authority) on the Student's Pass Online Application and Registration (SOLAR) system.
     
  • Once registered on the SOLAR system, your IHL in Singapore will share the application reference number and other credentials with you to get started with the other steps of the visa application process.
     
  • Next, you will have to access the official website of the ICA and fill out the application form accurately by providing all necessary information and uploading scanned copies of the required documents. 
     
  • Then make the payment for the visa application fee. Additional charges might be applicable for the online payment platform.
     
  • Review your form carefully, then proceed to finalize and submit the online application through the ICA's electronic submission system. The average processing period of three to four weeks.
     
  • Upon approval of your Student Pass application, ICA issues an approval letter. You will then have to pay the 1st instalment of your tuition fees. After receiving payment University will issue an In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter. This letter will be valid for 10‐15 days.
