PTE has long been one of the most trusted and widely used English Language Proficiency tests worldwide, with over 4,000 prominent institutions accepting it worldwide. It is particularly popular in the UK, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand, and is accepted for visa applications by all four countries. On top of that, PTE is one of the fastest and most efficient English Language Proficiency Tests, delivering results in as little as 48 hours, making it much more convenient to meet deadlines.
To make the PTE exam more favorable, a new format was announced in August 2025. Although the updated test is almost exactly the same as the original 20 questions and the format, two new speaking question types were introduced, along with some minor scoring enhancements.
