Among them is Mauritius, a nation that boasts one of Africa’s highest tertiary education enrolment rates. According to the Global Innovation Index (GII) 2024, Mauritius ranks 55th among 133 economies, maintaining its position as the most innovative economy in sub-Saharan Africa.
