Exam to Study in Japan

If you're planning to study in Japan, the EJU (Examination for Japanese University Admission) is one of the most important entrance exams, especially for undergraduate programs. It is required by many Japanese universities and assesses your Japanese language proficiency along with academic subjects such as Mathematics, Science, or Japan and the World. Depending on your chosen degree level and whether your program is taught in Japanese or English, you may also need to take other entrance or language proficiency exams.

Application Requirements for studying in Japan

Understand the essential documents and application procedures required for Japan university admissions, including academic records, statements of purpose, recommendation letters, and identity documents (Passport, Photos), Resume (CV).

Academic Transcripts and Certificates

Official mark sheets and degree certificates of previous qualifications (10th, 12th, Bachelor's, or Master's, as applicable). 

Valid Passport

A passport valid for the entire application and visa process. 

Statement of Purpose (SOP)

A well-written essay explaining your academic background, study goals, and reasons for choosing Japan and the selected program. 

Letters of Recommendation (LORs)

Academic or professional references, usually one or two, depending on the university. 

English or Japanese Language Proficiency Test Scores

IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, or Duolingo for English-taught programs; JLPT or EJU for Japanese-taught programs, if required.

Curriculum Vitae (CV) / Resume

Particularly required for postgraduate and research-based programs. 

Entrance Exam Scores (if applicable)
