Sep 23, 2022

A government official with knowledge of the situation told The Associated Press that Canada will likely stop enforcing vaccine requirements for visitors by the end of September. For higher education abroad, students visiting Canada are subject to the same vaccination requirements as those entering the United States. It is now unknown if the United States will take comparable actions before September 30.

Anyone entering Canada who hasn’t been vaccinated must first pass a series of tests and then spend 14 days in quarantine.

Two sources have confirmed that the mask policy on trains and airplanes will continue. As the global epidemic shows signs of waning, the aviation and travel businesses have been urging the government to loosen restrictions on foreign travel. Canada's airport and border health precautions have been in place for a longer period than their counterparts in many other countries.

Students wanting to pursue education in Canada can now breathe a sigh of relief. There are more than 180,000 international students in Canada each academic year. Canada has some of the world's best schools, and its entrance criteria are among the toughest in the world.
