The figures, reported by Campus France, show a steady upward trend, with foreign enrolment growing by 17% in the past five years. Today, nearly one in seven students comes from overseas to study in France.Campus France Director-General Donatienne Hissard described this growth as steady progress in a competitive global environment, adding, ‘Student mobility to France has found its cruising speed, in an uncertain international context.’.&nbsp;<h2>Where are students coming from?</h2>France’s international student population is highly diverse, with no single country representing more than 10% of enrolments.<ul><li style="text-align:justify;">Morocco remains the top source country with over 42,000 students.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Algeria follows with nearly 35,000 students, showing a steady increase.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">With 26,327 students, China is the third-largest sender.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Italy and Spain are fast-growing markets, with enrolments rising by more than 35% over the past five years.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">India climbed as the 11th largest source market with 9,100 students, a 17% jump in just one year. This reflects the goals of the Franco-Indian roadmap, which aims for France to host 30,000 Indian students by 2030, strengthening its position as a preferred destination for higher education of France’s growth is powered by Sub-Saharan Africa, which saw a 7% increase this year, particularly from countries like Nigeria, Cameroon, and Madagascar. Europe also rose by 5%, with notable growth from Ukraine (up 141% in five years) and Spain. Meanwhile, Asia recorded a 3% increase, driven strongly by India’s momentum.<h2>Where are Foreign Students enrolling in France?</h2>All of the <a href="https://www.studies-overseas.com/universities/france" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">universities in France</a> continue to be the top choice, welcoming 63% of all international students. Business Schools and Engineering Schools also registered growth of 3 to 4% this year.
