UK government has restarted the Priority Visa and Super Priority Visa Services which was suspended in March 2022. Priority Visa services were suspended as the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) had to prioritise visa processing for Ukrainian applicants.
These priority services were restarted from 12th of August 2022. Priority Visa and Super Priority Visa Services can be availed by all the eligible visa applicants, including Work Visa and Student Visa Applicants.
Since the suspension of priority visa services, there has been a significant backlog in the visa processing. You can now speed up your visa process by paying an additional processing fee along with the regular visa application fees.
For priority visa you need to pay an additional amount of £250 and you will get the decision on your visa application within 5 working days. For super priority visa services, you will have to pay an additional amount £956, and you will get the decision on your visa application within 1-2 working day. The working days for priority visa processing will be considered after the applicant finishes uploading all the documents. The applicant will receive an email after the priority visa application, followed by the decision letter which will update the applicant if the visa is approved or refused.
Normally, UK Visa applications takes an average time of 3-5 weeks to process. You can also visit the official website of UKVI to check the guidelines of priority visa services.
Applicants who have already submitted their biometrics for their application then they cannot apply for Priority Visa services.
