Overview

Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU), established in 1942, stands as New Jersey's Largest Private Institution of higher education. Expanding its international footprint, FDU inaugurated its Vancouver Campus in 2007, marking its fourth campus and the first American University to offer accredited degrees in Canada. Situated in the vibrant Yaletown district of downtown Vancouver, the campus offers students a unique opportunity to study at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Canada and earn U.S.-accredited degrees. The Vancouver Campus has students representing more than 50 countries. This diversity is further enriched by faculty and staff hailing from across the globe and collectively speaking over 41 languages. Beyond Vancouver, FDU's global presence includes campuses in Madison and Teaneck, New Jersey, and Wroxton, England.
 

FDU Vancouver offers a range of Undergraduate & Graduate programs. Notably, the Business Administration program is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), a distinction held by only a select number of Institutions in British Columbia The University's attention to research and practical learning is evident through its Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Program, which integrates real-world experience into the curriculum, enhancing students' employment outcomes. Intakes

FDU offers three flexible intakes throughout the year, allowing students to begin their academic journey at a time that suits them best. These Fairleigh Dickinson University intakes are in Fall (September), Winter (January), and Summer (May). These intakes cater to both Undergraduate and Graduate programs, with specific deadlines and varying program availability across the different terms.



 

The Fall or September intake & Winter or January intake are the primary intakes for both Undergraduate and Graduate students, offering a full range of programs. The application deadline for Fall intake is in April, while for the Winter intake it is August.

The Summer or May intake offers a slight variation for course availability. Though smaller, it still provides another opportunity for students to begin their studies. The application deadline for the Summer intake is December.

International students are automatically considered for these scholarships upon submitting a complete application for admission to FDU Vancouver. No separate scholarship application is required. Admission Requirements

Fairleigh Dickinson University maintains a comprehensive and supportive admissions process, ensuring that each student is well-prepared to thrive in FDU's rigorous academic environment. The University offers conditional admission to students who meet academic requirements but fall short of Fairleigh Dickinson University's IELTS requirement or other English proficiency standards.

✅ Applicants must hold a four-year Bachelor's Degree or an Honours with a minimum cumulative score of 70%. 
Additional Requirements 
✅  Applicants are required to submit a Letter of Statement of approximately 500 words, a personal résumé, and two Letters of Recommendation (academic or professional). Certain programs may also require evidence of relevant work experience.

A faculty adviser is a member of the University’s faculty who offers guidance to students regarding course selection within their major and career planning related to their field of study. The Academic Advising Centers provide broader advising services, assisting students with matters related to the core curriculum, major requirements, course scheduling, changes of major, academic progress, and degree completion. Since advising procedures may vary depending on the student’s major and class standing, students are encouraged to first consult with their Academic Advising Center for appropriate guidance.

A completed application typically requires three to four weeks to be processed. An application is considered complete once all necessary documents have been received by the Admissions Office.
