Overview

The Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) is a premier institution of higher learning in Canada.  It was established in 1925 as a living tribute to the Newfoundlanders and Labradorians who perished in World War I. Originally started as Memorial University College with a modest cohort of 55 students and six faculty members, it attained University status in 1949. Today, MUN stands as the largest University in Atlantic Canada, enrolling over 18,000 students from more than 120 countries.  This diverse student body is supported by a dedicated team of over 3,700 faculty and staff members.
 

MUN's expansive presence includes multiple campuses within the country and one international campus. The St. John's Campus spanning approximately 220 acres in the province's capital is the main campus offering a comprehensive range of academic programs in a modern urban setting. Other campuses include Grenfell Campus, Marine Institute, Labrador Campus, and Signal Hill Campus. The Harlow Campus, based in Essex, England, offers international learning experiences.
 

With over 300 diverse programs, MUN caters to a wide array of academic interests, ranging from Engineering and Applied Sciences to Humanities and Social Sciences. Intakes

The Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) intakes offers two structured admission periods for Graduate or Master’s Degree courses. For international applicants, it is recommended to apply at least 12 weeks before the intended semester to accommodate visa processing and relocation arrangements.
 

Note* - KC assists for Master's Degree courses at MUN.

The primary intake for is in September. It is also regarded as the Fall semester and has most of the courses available.

The secondary intake is in January. It is also regarded as the Winter semester with limited courses available.

Admission Requirements
