Northern Lights College intakes are spread across three sessions—September, January, and May—allowing students to choose a start date that fits their academic goals. Applications usually open almost a year before classes begin, and deadlines close earlier depending on demand and program requirements. By carefully selecting the right intake in Canada and applying within deadlines, students can maximize their chances of securing a seat in their preferred program at Northern Lights College.

Students can apply for 5 postgraduate programs and 16 undergraduate programs in this session. As it is the major intake, applications often close by the last week of May of the same year.

The Winter intake is ideal for those who wish to begin studies at the start of the calendar year. It includes 5 postgraduate and 9 undergraduate programs. The deadline for applications usually falls in the last week of September of the previous year.

The Summer intake provides a mid-year start option with 5 postgraduate and 9 undergraduate programs. Applications typically close by the last week of January.

Grade 12 with at least 60% or higher from a recognized institution. 

Subject-specific requirement: Grade 10 Mathematics (minimum 60%) and Grade 12 Biology/Chemistry/Physics. Some programs may also require Mathematics at Grade 12.
