Overview

The University of Lethbridge (uLethbridge), established in 1967, stands as one of Canada's leading Research Universities located in Alberta. Founded on traditional Blackfoot land, the University stand for its motto, ‘Fiat Lux’ which translates to ‘Let there be light’, symbolising a constant pledge to illuminating minds through education and discovery.
 

The University’s main campus is situated in Lethbridge, with an additional campus in Calgary. The Lethbridge campus spans 500 acres, providing a picturesque setting that fosters both academic pursuits and personal growth. The University serves approximately 8,373 students, comprising over 1,631 international students representing 90 countries. This diversity enriches the campus with a multitude of perspectives and cultures. uLethbridge offers a comprehensive array of programs through its five faculties. Students can choose from more than 150 Undergraduate programs and over 70 Graduate programs, including Master’s, Certificate, Diploma and Doctoral programs. Notably, the University is the only Institution in Alberta to provide co-op work experiences for every major at both Undergraduate and Graduate levels.
 

The University's focus on research is evident through its 17 Research Centres and Institutes. These include the Alberta Terrestrial Imaging Centre (ATIC), the Canadian Centre for Behavioural Neuroscience (CCBN), and the Water Institute for Sustainable Environments (WISE), among others. The September intake serves as the major admission period at uLethbridge. It offers a comprehensive selection of Undergraduate programs across various faculties and study disciplines. The application deadline for the September intake is usually in June but it might differ for certain courses.

The January intake provides an additional opportunity for students to commence their studies, with a select number of Undergraduate programs available. This intake is ideal for students who may require more time to prepare their applications or who prefer a mid-academic year start. The application deadline for the January intake is generally in November.

✅  Mathematics scores will be required for every program, except Arts. 

✅ IELTS Academic:  6.5 overall is required with no bands less than 6 for the University of Lethbridge IELTS requirements.
✅ PTE Academic: 61 overall is required with no individual scores less than 60.
