Overview

Established in 1857 as Assumption College, the University of Windsor Canada has grown into a comprehensive, student-focused institution. Located beside North America’s busiest international border crossing, the campus overlooks the scenic Detroit River waterfront. Intakes

The University of Windsor offers admissions in two major intakes and one minor intake. International applicants are encouraged to apply at least six months before their intended enrollment date to ensure a smooth application process.

The University of Windsor’s Tuition Guarantee ensures international students experience financial stability by offering a fixed tuition rate for the entire duration of their program. This initiative makes the University of Windsor cost predictable and affordable for global learners.
 

Students are placed in a cohort based on their first term of entry, with guaranteed tuition rates for the standard program length. Cohort-based Master’s students have 4 terms, with an optional 5th term at a per-course rate, Undergraduate students have 15 consecutive terms, research-based Master’s students have 9 terms, and PhD students benefit from 18 terms.

Scholarships Available

Admission Requirements

The University of Windsor requirements for international students vary depending on the chosen course. Students who do not meet the required proficiency can begin their journey at UWindsor through the English Language Improvement Program (ELIP).  The ELIP program is available both online and offline, allowing students to meet English language requirements from anywhere in the world, and in person. 

Additionally, students from India interested in pursuing Postgraduate or Undergraduate degrees can check their eligibility here.

 

✅ Academic Requirements Completion of a 4-year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution with a minimum score of 70% or higher.

✅ For the MBA program, a GMAT score of 550 is required.

✅ IELTS: Overall score of 7.0 with no band less than 6.5 
✅ TOEFL: Overall score of 83 with no section below 20 
✅ DET: Overall score of 120

✅ Completion of Grade 12 with a minimum score of 70% or higher from a recognized institution.
