Overview

The University of Nicosia (UNIC) traces its origins to 1980, when it was initially founded as Intercollege, a small private tertiary institution that rapidly grew in scope and reputation. In 2007, the institution formally became the University of Nicosia, marking a pivotal step in its evolution into a comprehensive centre for higher education and research. Today, UNIC stands as one of the most prestigious and internationally oriented Universities in Cyprus, known for its academic excellence, research output, and global outlook.
 

Located primarily in the vibrant urban district of Engomi in Nicosia, the Nicosia Campus is often referred to as ‘UNIC City’. It provides a modern and student-centred environment, enriched by purpose-built facilities, laboratories, lecture halls, and collaborative learning spaces. This urban campus supports a diverse student population of over 11,500 students from more than 100 countries, creating a truly multicultural experience for learners from around the world.
 

To study in Cyprus, UNIC comprises eight academic schools offering numerous bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs. Several programs were the first of their kind in Cyprus and the wider region. Cost to Study at University of Nicosia

The cost to study at the University of Nicosia for international students encompasses tuition, compulsory deposits, administrative fees and other associated charges that must be understood before arrival. Tuition fees vary widely depending on the level and type of program. International students are also required to pay an international student deposit, along with fees for insurance, visa processing and other university charges such as registration and activity fees. Paying the full tuition as stipulated in the admission offer is usually expected before visa submission. The university provides multiple online payment methods to facilitate fee settlement. Admission Requirement

The University of Nicosia's admissions process for international students is designed to uphold academic excellence while welcoming a diverse global cohort. Admission to the university is granted based on a student’s prior academic qualifications, proficiency in English, and fulfilment of program-specific criteria. International applicants must demonstrate strong academic performance that aligns with the university’s standards for higher education in Cyprus. To be eligible, the admission prerequisites for Indian students involve the following:

Students require a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks from a recognized University.  The University of Nicosia requires a GMAT score of 400 for MBA programs. 

✅ IELTS: An overall score of 6.5, with no band score below 6, is accepted.

Students need a Grade 12 qualification with at least 50% marks from a recognized institution. 

✅ IELTS: An overall score of 6.0 with no band score below 5.5 is accepted.
