Intakes
LUT University offers two distinct admission windows for international students. The Regular Admission period includes all Master’s programmes, while the Early Admission period covers a limited selection of Master’s programmes. For international Bachelor’s programmes, there are two separate admission processes, each with its own application period and admission criteria.

Cost to Study at LUT University, Finland
At LUT University, tuition fees are based on the student’s intake year, and the amount for the first academic year is clearly mentioned in the admission letter. Fees for the following years remain consistent with the intake year’s rate.
If an early bird discount is included in the offer, it is valid for three weeks from the date the admission letter is issued. Students can conveniently pay their tuition fees through Flywire or a bank transfer.

Scholarships Available
LUT University scholarships are offered to support international students enrolled in degree programmes. For Master’s programmes, students required to pay tuition fees are eligible for a 50% scholarship for the second year if they complete at least 60 ECTS credits during the first academic year.
For Bachelor's programmes, a 50% tuition fee waiver is granted for the second year upon completing 60 ECTS credits and for the third year after earning 120 ECTS credits across two years. Students continuing to a Master’s at LUT after their Bachelor’s benefit from a reduced tuition fee for the first year.
Admission Requirements
LUT University’s admission criteria may vary depending on the chosen programme. International students need to meet the general admission requirements as well as any programme-specific criteria. Proof of English language proficiency is also mandatory, and applicants need to submit valid documentation as specified by the University. Indian students are encouraged to check the specific entry requirements here.
✅ Applicants need to hold a 3-year or 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Technology or Engineering with a minimum score of 65% or higher from a recognised University for technical and engineering-related programmes. For business-related programmes, applicants are required to have an academic background in business.
✅IELTS: An overall band score of 6.5, with no band less than 6.0 in each section.
✅TOEFL iBT: An overall score of 90 is required.
✅PTE: An overall score of 62 is necessary.
✅ Applicants need to have completed Grade 12 with a minimum of 65% from a recognised institution, or Grade 10 plus a 3-year diploma with at least 60%.
✅ Specific subject requirements include, Arithmetic grade average: 80%, Mathematics: 70%
✅ IELTS: An overall band score of 6.5, with no band less than 6.0 in each section, is necessary.
✅ TOEFL iBT: An overall score between 80–90 is required.
✅ PTE: An overall score of 62 is mandatory.
