Tampere University Intake is offered once a year. Students are recommended to prepare accordingly for admission to their desired course.

This is the only intake provided by Tampere University where all courses at both Postgraduate and Undergraduate levels are open for enrolment.

Admission Requirements

Tampere University Finland admission requirements differ according to the level of study. For postgraduate programs taught in English, eligibility is assessed through two components: the general admission criteria of Tampere University and program-specific requirements. At the undergraduate level, applicants are also required to submit a defined set of academic documents in line with program guidelines. In addition, all students applying to English-taught programs are required to demonstrate proof of English language proficiency through scores from internationally recognized tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, or other accepted equivalents.

Yes, students are allowed to pay their tuition fees in instalments.

The university strongly recommends initiating the residence permit application within seven days, as processing times can be lengthy, especially during spring and summer. However, if a student is unable to apply within this period, the application may still be submitted later without issue.

No, students should not use the university’s address. If no address in Finland is available at the time of application, students can simply indicate “not available yet” and provide their phone number and email address on the forms.
