Intakes

The University of Turku offers one intake per year. International applicants can access the application form only during the official application period. As part of the application process, candidates are required to upload scanned copies of their original documents directly to the application form within the specified timeframe. This ensures a smooth and complete application review.

This is the only intake offered by the University where all the programs are offered. 

Cost to Study at University of Turku, Finland

The University of Turku’s tuition fee for international students includes more than just academic teaching; it also gives access to a wide range of student services and campus resources. The exact tuition fee depends on the chosen programme and is stated in the admission offer.
 

Students can choose to pay the fee either in full or in two instalments, one for the autumn semester and one for the spring. If paid in two parts, the second instalment is due by the end of December. All payments are made easily and securely through the Flywire service portal.

Scholarships Available

The University of Turku scholarships are offered to talented and motivated international students applying for Master's and Bachelor’s Degree programs. These scholarships are available to students who are required to pay tuition fees and are awarded based on academic excellence.
 

Depending on the program and the applicant’s profile, students may receive a full scholarship or a 50% tuition fee reduction. Selection is based on admission criteria, which may include academic performance, a motivation letter, interviews, or relevant experience. The highest-ranking applicants are recommended by each program to the scholarship committee for final selection.

Admission Requirements

For University of Turku admission, applicants need to meet the specific entry requirements for their chosen Master’s and Bachelor’s programs. In addition, students may be required to take an internationally recognized English Proficiency Test, well in advance of their application. Students from India can check the general admission criteria here.

✅ Students need to hold a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum score of 60% in a relevant field from a recognized university.

✅ Students need to have completed Grade 12 with a minimum of 60% from a recognised board.

✅ SAT is required with a minimum overall score of 1150. A minimum score of 600 is required in the Mathematics section. However, the SAT is required for students from most education boards. Students who have completed Grade 12 under the International Baccalaureate (IB) board are exempt from the SAT requirement.

✅ IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores are not mandatory.
