Michel Glize initially wanted to create a highly practical workshop to prepare students for entrance exams of France’s top-tier Grande École art schools. As a result, he founded LISAA (L’Institut Supérieur des Arts Appliqués) in 1986. From a small workshop for focused learning, LISAA rapidly transformed into a globally recognized institution. This was achieved by strategically adapting to technology, receiving official accreditation, and embedding itself directly within the industry. Today, LISAA stands as one of the premier institutions for digital animation and video games, as well as practical, project-based design programs.
LISAA is among a select few art schools that received recognition by the French Ministry of Culture. It has grown into France’s largest design school network, with over 10 campuses in France and 4 specialized separate building locations in Paris. Currently, the institution has over 5,000 alumni worldwide working with major companies and renowned brands in fields such as fashion, animation, interior design, graphic design, and video game development.
Being a private higher education institution, LISAA provides Foundation Year, Bachelor's, and Master's programs across six fields of study. These include Fashion, Interior Architecture & Design, Graphic Design & Communication, Animation, Video Games, and Applied Arts.
Through its approved and recognized English-taught applied arts programs and strong global industry connections, students from all over the world come to study at LISAA. As a result, more than 10% of the student body consists of international students representing over 12 different nationalities. Those who study arts and design at LISAA Paris enjoy continued support for employment and professional growth both within and beyond academics. As a result, approximately 82% of alumni secure jobs in fields related to their studies.
There is only one primary LISAA admission intake offered for all the courses across Master’s and Bachelor’s programs. With only one intake per academic year, it becomes easier for students to browse a wide range of courses, study with a large pool of students, and participate in academic events and activities for professional and social development.
This is the only intake offered for all the courses and programs across study levels at the institute.
LISAA Paris courses are taught by industry professionals, ensuring students learn from experts who are well-versed in current and evolving market trends as well as industry practices. Currently, the institute offers several programs for master’s and bachelor's degrees across in-demand fields such as Fashion, Interior Architecture & Design, Graphic Design & Communication, Animation, and Gaming.
