Intakes

The University of New South Wales Bengaluru Campus is launching its first academic intake in August 2026. This intake will be for all the courses initially offered. The university will operate on a trimester system, offering both bachelor’s and master’s coursework programs. The university plans to launch additional degrees for future intakes. 

This is currently the only initial intake offered at the University of New South Wales Bengaluru Campus. 

Cost to Study

At the University of New South Wales, Bengaluru, cost is a major advantage. Compared with the main campus in Sydney, Australia, the Bengaluru campus offers a much more affordable option for the same educational quality.

 

Tuition fees vary across programs and are determined by the number of credit units undertaken each year. The fees are renewed annually and are published before the enrollment begins for the academic year.

Scholarships Available

The University of New South Wales, Bengaluru campus, offers automatic scholarships to all Indian citizens with up to 10% of tuition fee waiver. In addition, they offer two types of Bengaluru equity scholarships to Resident Indian Citizens.

 

These include scholarships that are offered to outstanding students and cover 100% of the tuition fees for the duration of the program. Some scholarships are also offered to students from disadvantaged backgrounds, covering a substantial portion of tuition fees and helping them access a world-class education at a reduced cost.

Admission Requirements

The admission requirements at the University of New South Wales Bengaluru Campus are transparent for every program and easy to follow. At first, the university checks whether the student is an Indian citizen, a Non-Resident of India, or an Overseas Student seeking to study in India. Then, students need to provide their previous academic marksheets to prove their eligibility for ranking.

 

Once eligibility is confirmed, students can choose which course they want to enroll in, meet their particular requirements, submit the documents, and wait for confirmation. Applicants should demonstrate English language proficiency through the university's accepted tests.

Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree with Honors in the same or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.

IELTS Academic: Overall score of 6.5 with a minimum score of 6.0 in each section. (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking) 

Applicants need to satisfy one of the following academic requirements:

  • CBSE: Minimum aggregate score of 75%
  • Maharashtra, Karnataka, or Tamil Nadu State Boards: Minimum aggregate score of 88%
  • International Baccalaureate (IB): Minimum score of 30 points

  • SAT: Students need to score a minimum of 1170 to secure admission wherever applicable. But it is not mandatory if the student meets the eligibility criteria.

  • IELTS Academic: Overall score of 6.5 with a minimum score of 6.0 in each component (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking).
