English Language Requirements

All the courses at the University are delivered in English so it is necessary for international applicants to provide their language competency through English Language Qualification. The English Language Qualifications are only valid for 2 years after the course start date. International students may also need to check the English language requirements of the Irish Immigration services as they may differ from the Admission Requirements for Atlantic Technological University. Given below are the admission requirements for Indian students applying for Master’s and Bachelor's level courses. &nbsp;

The Atlantic Technological University fees for international students depend on their level of study. Apart from that, students also have to pay a tuition deposit within 30-60 days of receiving an offer. The amount for the deposit varies for Master’s and Bachelor’s students and once paid confirms the acceptance of the applicant. &nbsp;Students also need to pay a student contribution charge which is levied by the government on all full-time students, whether they are from Ireland or international students. Students can also apply for a Student Universal Support Ireland to get a 100% refund of their Student Contribution Charge. &nbsp;Apart from Atlantic Technological University fees, students also need to consider study related expenses such as textbooks, laptop, field trips etc. The cost to study in Ireland also involves basic living expenses such as Food, Housing, Transportation, Clothing and other Miscellaneous expenses. &nbsp;

Life at Atlantic Technological University

Applicants will be notified by the Registration, Fees and Grants office regarding the commencement of the registration process. An official registration email will be sent to the email address provided in the application to ATU. It is advised that applicants regularly monitor this email account, including the junk and spam folders, to ensure timely receipt of all registration-related communications.

All the campuses of the university are accessible by bus and car from the Dublin airport.

Yes, credit transfers are possible, but they are assessed by the admission office.

Yes, students can work for 20 hours per week during their studies and 40 hours per week during holidays.

Atlantic Technological University follows the standard admission cycle for international students, offering two primary intakes in Ireland—September and January. These are commonly referred to as the major and minor intakes. Students planning to apply should always check which programs are available in each cycle to ensure their preferred course aligns with the Atlantic Technological University intake. &nbsp;

The university has a major intake in September which has all the courses available for students on Master’s and Bachelor's level.

The intake in January offered by the university which offers a minimal number of courses available to students.

Atlantic Technological University (Galway and Letterkenny Campus)

Established in 2022, Atlantic Technological University (ATU) &nbsp;is one of the largest multi-campus universities in Ireland. The university offers practical, solution-oriented education and research to tackle global challenges. &nbsp;ATU has 9 campuses in Ireland including 2 in Galway city, 2 in the town of Donegal, 1 in Sigo, Connemara, Mayo, Montbellew, and the St Angelas. ATU offers scholarships to study at Atlantic Technological University for international students. These scholarships are offered for academic excellence. The scholarships help students to improve their profiles. There are certain need-based scholarships in Ireland which international students should look out for as well. &nbsp;International students can also get a scholarship based on their English language attainment, as well as their country of origin or both. To apply for these scholarships, students need to fill out their application form as clearly as possible. &nbsp; &nbsp;

Non-EU Scholarships

Students can get Academic Writing Support, Learning Support with tutors, and Math support with centers offering Consultations, access to relevant text materials with one-on-one consultations or in a small group. The university has campus health support and medical services at the Letterkenny campus, the Galway City campus, the Siligo campus, Mount Bellew, Wellpark, and St Angela’s campus.
