Kudan Institute of Japanese Language & Culture, Tokyo, is one of the leading Japanese Language Schools in Japan. Intakes

Kudan Institute of Japanese Language offers multiple intakes for international students throughout the year. Applicants can check the scheduled dates and apply accordingly. Short-term students may join classes every Monday, provided their Japanese language level matches the course requirement. Additionally, new terms for regular programs begin in January, April, July, and October. Depending on their proficiency, short-term students may also be eligible to start midway through an ongoing course.

Students who plan to study Japanese for higher education usually choose a long-term course of 6 months to 2 years and are required to obtain a student visa. Admission Requirements

✅ Applicants need to hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any field with a minimum of 50% or higher. This course is designed for students who specifically aim to develop strong Japanese conversational skills, with a primary focus on speaking and listening only.

Kudan Institute organises a one-day educational bus trip to the suburbs twice a year, and this activity is included in the tuition fee for student visa holders. Students can also join optional cultural experiences after school, such as a tea ceremony, calligraphy, or sushi making. These student engagement and activities offer a fun way to explore Japanese culture while learning the language.

The institute arranges comfortable homestay options with Japanese families, allowing students to experience local culture firsthand. It also introduces share houses in partnership with the school for those who prefer independent living.

Class hours vary based on the selected course. Japanese language programs are conducted in two sessions: morning classes run from 9:10 a.m. to 12:40 p.m., while afternoon classes are held from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Assessment methods differ by program. Intensive and Conversation courses include a final examination at the end of the semester. Other programs feature periodic quizzes, with schedules depending on the course level. In addition, Kanji proficiency tests are organised regularly, and many students choose to participate.

Students who wish to study in either of these courses for six months or longer are required to secure a Student Visa before beginning their program.
