Overview

Established in 2000 in Kuching, the capital of Sarawak, Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus serves as the Malaysian branch of Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. It was officially granted foreign branch campus status by the Malaysian Government in 2004. The institution is an Australian and Malaysian university operating with dual recognition. 


The Sarawak Campus underwent a major expansion in 2006 with the completion of a RM110 million development project. This upgrade introduced seven purpose-built facilities, bringing the total number of campus buildings to twelve. Spanning 16.5 acres, the city campus is conveniently located approximately 15 minutes from Kuching’s central waterfront district.
