For those who do not qualify for direct entry, the university offers foundation courses and English language programmes to help meet the necessary requirements. &nbsp;For students who need additional academic preparation, pathway programmes provide an excellent opportunity to gain the necessary skills before transitioning to a full degree programme at AUT. &nbsp;

Auckland University of Technology fees for international students vary based on the programme and course selection. The exact amount is determined at the time of invoicing. In addition to tuition, students may need to cover other important charges such as Administrative Fees, Medical Insurance, etc. &nbsp;New international students can choose to pay either the first year’s tuition fees upfront or the full programme fee, which helps them avoid potential fee increases in later years. All fees are listed in New Zealand Dollars and are to be made through AUT’s International Student Payments portal. &nbsp;Since fees are subject to change annually, students should check the latest updates before making payments. If a student is sponsored by a foreign government or organization, they must provide a financial guarantee before starting their program.

1. What kind of support is available for students at AUT?

AUT is easy to reach by public transport, including buses and trains. Students can also get discounts on fares by using an AT HOP card.

2. How can students travel to AUT?

Study materials are available on Blackboard, AUT’s online learning platform. The university library also provides resources, research materials, and study guides.

3. Where can course materials be found?

Most lectures are recorded and can be accessed online. It’s also a good idea to check with the lecturer or classmates for any important updates.

4. What should students do if they miss a lecture?

Course changes are allowed within the add/drop period at the start of each semester. However, some changes may require approval from the faculty.

5. Is it possible to change courses after enrolling?

Many programs at AUT include Work Integrated Learning (WIL), which gives students hands-on industry experience. Internship opportunities can be applied for through the faculty’s internship office.


6. How can students apply for internships at AUT?

Auckland University of Technology (AUT) has multiple intakes for international students throughout the year, giving them flexibility in starting their studies. The university has two major intakes—February and July. The AUT application deadline for the February intake is 31st October, while for the July intake, it is 30th May every year. &nbsp;These deadlines apply to both study applications and accommodation bookings. Students are encouraged to apply early to secure their place and make necessary arrangements for their studies. &nbsp;*Note: It is important to note that AUT enrolment dates and commencement schedules may vary. &nbsp;

- Available to apply for 9 Undergraduate Diplomas, 96 Undergraduate Degrees, 87 Postgraduate Diplomas, and 96 Master’s programs.

✅July Intake 
- Offers a similar range of programs, including 8 Undergraduate Diplomas, 75 Undergraduate Degrees, 75 Postgraduate Diplomas, and 83 Master’s programs.

- Limited to 11 Postgraduate Diploma and Master’s courses.
