Overview

Lincoln University is one of the eight Government Universities in Canterbury, recognized for its academic excellence and strong reputation to study in New Zealand. Established in 1878 as Lincoln College, it became an independent institution in 1990 and holds the distinction of being the oldest Agricultural Teaching Institution in the Southern Hemisphere.

Cost to Study at Lincoln University

Admission Requirement

Lincoln University has specific academic requirements for each level of study. Entry requirements are mostly general for each programme; however, certain programmes have special requirements as well. If English is not the first language, then students need to meet some specific English Language requirements in addition to the academic requirements.

Applicants must have completed their secondary education with good academic results. Some programs may require prior studies in certain subjects, such as Mathematics for Engineering or Science-related courses. 

✅ IELTS: Minimum score of 6.5, with no band lower than 6.0. 
✅ TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 92, with at least 21 in each section. 
✅ PTE Academic: Minimum score of 62, with no section below 59. 
 

Applicants must have successfully completed 12 years of schooling with a minimum aggregate score of 75%.  Applicants should have secured at least 60% in English to meet the academic requirements. 

✅ IELTS: A minimum overall band score of 6.0, with no individual band lower than 5.5. 
✅ PTE Academic: An overall score of 50, ensuring no communicative skill falls below 42.
