The Cost to study at NMIT depends on the chosen program and study level. In addition to tuition fees, a compulsory student services fee is charged to support a wide range of essential services and assistance for students. &nbsp;Some programs may also include additional costs such as assessment, examination, or subject entry fees. International payments can be made through Telegraphic Transfer, Credit Card Payment, or Flywire, offering students a secure method of paying using bank transfers, credit cards, e-payments, e-wallets, and more.

NMIT offers small class sizes for personalized learning, industry-driven training, and a strong focus on practical skills. Its campuses are located in scenic areas close to beaches, vineyards, and national parks, creating an outdoor-friendly study environment.

Yes, all programs at NMIT are approved by NZQA and are internationally recognized.

5. Are NMIT qualifications recognized worldwide?

NMIT Intakes are divided into two categories: Major and Minor. However, some programs may have specific start dates, so students are advised to carefully review their program eligibility when selecting an intake.

These two months cover almost all programs across all study levels.

In October, only Postgraduate and Master's level Business programs are available.

Established in 1905, the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT) began its journey on Hardy Street. The institute experienced major growth during the 1980s and 1990s, expanding its presence. Notable developments during this time included the opening of the Ballinger Horticulture Centre in Blenheim in 1986. &nbsp;Today, NMIT’s main campus is in Nelson, with additional campuses in Richmond, Marlborough, and Woodbourne. Each campus delivers a distinct mix of programs, from certificate courses to Postgraduate qualifications. &nbsp;NMIT currently has a student population of around 7,130, including a diverse group of international learners from more than 35 countries. The institute offers a wide array of qualifications, all approved by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority and recognized under the highest Category 2 standard. With a student satisfaction rate close to 87%, NMIT remains a compelling option for those looking to study in New Zealand. &nbsp;NMIT maintains strong connections with industry, iwi, government, and international partners to ensure its qualifications remain current and relevant. Tip of the South/Te Tauihu offers guidance on program development and collaborates with the institute to provide scholarships and support for NMIT students. NMIT features various accommodation options for students. While the institute does not book housing, it assists students in finding suitable options. Homestay arrangements with local families include catered and non-catered choices. Nikau Apartments on the Nelson campus include private rooms and shared common areas. Early application is advised to secure preferred accommodations. &nbsp;
