Overview

Established in 1982, New Zealand Tertiary College (NZTC) has been recognized for providing high-quality higher education in New Zealand  for the early education and healthcare sectors. The institute has been awarded the NZQA Category 1 provider status 4 times.
 

With the main campus in Auckland, the institute also has an additional campus in Christchurch. The college has a dedicated staff of over 100 to teach and assist international students of different nationalities.
 

When it comes to academics, the college has qualifications that are a part of the New Zealand Qualification Authority, and some programs are approved by the Education Council of Aotearoa New Zealand, which is an Education Council.

Admission Requirements

The admission requirements for NZTC courses depend on the level of the course. These requirements include academic requirements, English language proficiency requirements, and other requirements. The admission process starts when students submit their online application, followed by a face-to-face interview that happens online. After the interview, an offer of placement is made by the college.  Following that, the student has to accept the offer by returning the signed offer letter to the college.
 

Given below are the admission requirements for Indian students at different levels.
 

✅ Students should hold a Level 7 Bachelor’s degree (360 credits) or higher with a minimum 60% average, as deemed acceptable by the Academic Board.
✅ Alternatively, they should have completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from NZTC with a GPA of merit or higher.
✅ A personal interview may be required.
✅ For Master's in Teaching and Learning course, students need a 75% score.
 

✅ PTE: Students need an overall score of 50 with a minimum score of 42
✅ TOEFL iBT: Applicants need an overall score of 60 with a minimum section score of 18.
✅ IELTS: A total score of 6.0 bands is needed with a minimum band score of 5.5.

Note: The English proficiency requirement for the Master's of Teaching and Learning is higher.
 

Applicants need 60% or higher score in Grade 12 from a recognised institution or have achieved an equivalent overseas high school diploma.

✅ PTE: Students require an overall score of 50 with a minimum score of 42
✅ TOEFL iBT: They need a total score of 60 with a minimum score of 18
✅ IELTS: Applicants need an overall score of 6.0 bands with a minimum band score of 5.5.
