Intakes to Study at University of Auckland
The University of Auckland offers multiple intakes for international students, providing flexibility throughout the academic year. It is recommended that applicants begin the process as early as possible to ensure sufficient time for visa application and pre-departure arrangements.
The University has major intakes in the months of February and July, where most of the Master's, Bachelor's, and Diploma courses are available for students to apply.
The minor intakes offered by the University are in the months of May, June, September, October, and November. These intakes have a limited number of courses available for students on the Masters, Bachelors and Diploma levels.
Cost to Study at University of Auckland
The cost to study at the University of Auckland differs for Master's as well as Bachelor's level courses. The University calculates the fees on a per point basis as well as the annual tuition fee for 120 points on the Master's level.
Students need to paystudent service fee and medical insurance fee along with their course fees. The fee may differ for conjoint courses where students are studying a combined course with 2 majors at Bachelor's level courses. Each course has a certain number of points based on which the fees are calculated.

Scholarships Available

✅ For a 120-point Master’s Degree, students require a completed Bachelor's honours degree or a Postgraduate Diploma from a recognized institution.
✅ For a 180-point Master's Degree, students need to have a Bachelor's Degree or a Postgraduate Certificate from a recognized institution. Relevant work experience may also be considered.
✅ For a 240-point Master’s degree, students require a Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution. Relevant work experience may also be considered.
✅ A GPE score of 5.0 is needed on a 0-9 scale for Master's programs, though some programs may have higher requirements.
✅ IELTS Academic: Students need an overall score of 6.5 with a minimum band score of 6.0.
Equivalent scores from other approved English language tests are also accepted.
✅ TOEFL iBT: For this test, applicants need a total score of 90 with a minimum section score of 21.
✅ PTE: A total score of 58 is needed for the test with a minimum score of 50.
Students from CBSE, ISC, and some State Boards need an overall average score of 75% in Class 12, with at least 70% in English.
For students from other boards, an overall average of 80% is needed, with a minimum of 75% in English.
✅ IELTS: A total score of 6.0 is needed, with a minimum band score of 5.5.
✅ TOEFL iBT: Students need a minimum overall score of 80.
✅ PTE Academic: An overall score of a minimum of 50 is required.
