3. Does UC offer orientation programs for new students? 

UC allows students to defer their studies for a gap year. Those planning to take a gap year must apply for a deferral through UC’s admissions office and follow any applicable deadlines.&nbsp;

4. Can students take a gap year before starting their degree? 

Yes, students may change their course or program, but it is essential to consult an academic advisor to ensure eligibility and meet any specific requirements. Changes may also be subject to university deadlines.

5. Can students change their course or program after enrollment? 

The University of Canterbury offers multiple intakes throughout the year, providing flexibility for students. UC has two major intakes and four minor intakes.
