The Waikato Institute of Technology, commonly known as Wintec, is one of New Zealand’s largest and most respected tertiary education providers. Established in 1968, it has grown from a small technical college to a modern institute offering career-focused education to more than 11,000 learners each year. Wintec is a proud member of Te Pūkenga – New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology, a national network of 16 technical institutes and 11 industry training organisations.
 

Located in the vibrant Waikato region, Wintec offers world-class education across three main campuses in Hamilton – City Campus, Rotokauri Campus, and the Hamilton Gardens Campus – as well as regional training centres. Intakes to Study at Waikato Institute of Technology (Wintec)

Waikato Institute of Technology offers multiple intakes throughout the year, in February, July, September, October, and November. Each intake offers specific courses to international students.

In the February intake, the University offers 10 Postgraduate, 26 Undergraduate, 20 Postgraduate Diploma, and 17 Undergraduate Diploma programs. In the July intake, the University offers 9 Postgraduate, 22 Undergraduate, 17 Postgraduate Diploma, and 11 Undergraduate Diploma programs.

In all these intakes, 5 Postgraduate and 1 Postgraduate Diploma programs are offered to students.
