Intakes

The Yoobee College of Creative Innovation, Auckland campus, offers a variety of strategic intakes designed to accommodate international students from around the world. These intakes to study at Yoobee College of Creative Innovation range from February to April, July and November. By offering these staggered intakes, Yoobee ensures that a wide spectrum of programs, whether full-year Diplomas, Accelerated Degrees, or Intensive Master’s Pathways, are accessible at different times of the year. 

The primary intake occurs in February, when a full range of Certificate, Diploma and Bachelor-level programs begin in the new academic year. Specifically, students opting for certificate and diploma programmes in creative arts, design, animation and technology will begin in the February intake alongside the new intake of first-year bachelor students. 

For the Master's level, the Institution provides flexible entry with additional intakes in April, July and November. These intakes offer enhanced flexibility, allowing international students to begin at points beyond the traditional academic year start. The course availability might vary for these intakes. 

Cost to Study

For international students, the cost to study at Yoobee College of Creative Innovation depends on the standard of the program (Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor's or Master’s) as well as the resources required. Tuition fees are quoted in New Zealand Dollars (NZD), include GST, and resource/instrument fees may also apply.

 

When applying, international students are required to make tuition deposits or prepaid fees up front. Yoobee holds all prepaid student fees in a trust (managed by Public Trust) for protection. As for payment methods, Yoobee provides several secure options like Flywire, credit cards, and e-payments based on the country of origin. Students will receive email/SMS alerts regarding the status of payments.

Scholarships Available

Yoobee College of Creative Innovation provides a range of scholarships for international students, especially those entering Bachelor's and Master’s programs. These awards are merit-based and aim to reduce financial burdens while recognising academic excellence and creative potential. First-year international students enrolling in on-campus programs are offered a tuition fee waiver for the first year of study. Applicants must email the admissions team or contact UP Education Regional Managers to apply.

 

Additionally, scholarships to study at Yoobee College of Creative Innovation is also available for Certificate and Diploma courses, subject to meeting eligibility criteria and submitting a scholarship application via email.

Admission Requirements

International students seeking to study at Yoobee College of Creative Innovation must meet a set of rigorous academic and English-language criteria to be shortlisted for admission. These entry requirements at Yoobee College of Creative Innovation are both country-specific and level-specific. Some programs also require an interview with Yoobee staff to assess readiness.

 

Admission requirements at Yoobee College of Creative Innovation for Indian students include the following. 

  • Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computing, Information Technology, Commerce, Accounting, Marketing, Finance, Business Information Systems, Arts, or a related discipline with a minimum overall score of 60% (or equivalent). 
  • Degrees must be obtained from a recognised tertiary institution, either in New Zealand or overseas.
  • Applicants who do not have formal quantitative or analytical subjects in their Undergraduate transcripts are required to submit a cover letter outlining their analytical competencies, supported by evidence of relevant projects or professional experience. 

  • IELTS (Academic): An overall band score of 6.5, with no individual band less than 6.0, is expected. 
  • PTE Overall Score 58, with no bands less than 50

  • Applicants must have completed Grade 12 (Higher Secondary Certificate) under a recognised educational board such as HSC, SSC, or CBSE, with a minimum aggregate of 55% or higher.

  • IELTS (Academic): An overall band score of 6.0, with no individual band less than 5.5, is expected. 
  • PTE Academic: An overall score of 50, with no communicative skill score below 42, is expected. 
  • TOEFL iBT: An overall score of 79, with no individual section below 18, is expected.

The accommodation support at Yoobee College of Creative Innovation includes assistance in arranging homestays, private rentals, or shared flats. For under-18 students, homestay placement is mandatory and managed according to the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice. Additionally, Yoobee offers airport pickup services to ensure students arrive safely.

The campus hosts numerous extra-curricular events. These include industry guest presentations, seminars, design and animation showcases, semester-end social gatherings, themed events, and holiday celebrations.

On campus, staff are trained in first aid / health-related issues, and a registered doctor is available by appointment. The Sonder Student Safety App is also offered with features like ‘Track My Journey’, multilingual support, and instant assistance when needed.

For international students under the age of 18, Yoobee adheres strictly to the New Zealand Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners.
