Intakes

James Cook University Singapore intakes are offered multiple times a year, providing students with the flexibility to start their studies at a time that best aligns with their academic goals. Intakes are basically divided into Trimester and Semester Intakes. Each intake has specific application deadlines, allowing students to plan and prepare for applications accordingly. Higher Degrees by Research programs have year-round availability, with commencement dates advised individually.

 

JCU Singapore follows a Trimester Intake system for students enrolling in any Main Program or English Language Preparatory Program. This structure offers three intakes per year: January (TR1S), May (TR2), and September (TR3). Each trimester includes an orientation period before classes commence, helping students transition smoothly into university life.

The Semester Intake is designed for Master’s Students pursuing research-based programs. Higher Degrees by Research programs have year-round availability, with commencement dates advised individually. Those enrolling in the Master of Psychology (Clinical) or the Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma in Research Methods can choose from two major intakes: February (S1) and July (S2).

Scholarships Available

The James Cook University Singapore Scholarships are highly competitive and are exclusively offered to students enrolled at the Singapore campus. These Scholarships are available for those who demonstrate academic excellence, sporting talent, or contributions to the community. The scholarships are divided into three categories for one academic year: a 100% scholarship a 50% scholarship, and a 25% scholarship. All these have different application deadlines depending on the applicant’s country of origin.

Admission Requirement

James Cook University Singapore Application deadline and requirement differ according to the course.  For example, Dentistry, Medicine, and Veterinary Science courses require applicants to submit a supporting written application or complete a personal interview with JCU academic selectors.
