Intakes

Edith Cowan University, Sri Lanka, follows distinct intakes for Bachelor’s and Diploma or Foundation programs. It follows a pattern of three distinct intakes for each type of course, allowing international students to plan their admissions. Only one intake is common for both Bachelor’s and Foundation/Diploma programs, but the deadlines can differ for each course. Students can select their intake according to diverse admission timelines, preferred programs and specializations, and personal preference. 

The University follows three intakes in Sri Lanka for Bachelor’s programs. The deadlines line up in February, July, and November for various specializations. 

The University offers Diploma or Foundation programs in February, as well as in June and October. Students should check the deadlines for their preferred program carefully.

Cost to Study

For international students at the Edith Cowan University Sri Lanka Campus, the tuition structure is clearly defined and payable per study period to ensure transparent academic investment while offering access to a world-class Australian degree locally. International students are required to pay 100% of their tuition fees in advance of each trimester, with ECU Sri Lanka operating on a trimester system for both undergraduate and pathway programs.

  • A Grade 12 qualification with at least 60% marks is needed from a State, CBSE, or ICSE Board institution. 

  • IELTS: An overall score above 6.5 is required, with no band score less than 6.  
  • TOEFL iBT: An overall score above 67 is needed. 
  • PTE: An overall score above 59 is required.

  • A Grade 12 qualification with at least 60% marks is accepted, from a State, CBSE, or ICSE Board institution.

  • IELTS: An overall score above 6.5 is needed, with no band score less than 6.
