Intakes

This intake starts in the Autumn semester, commencing in late August each year. It includes all the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs across various disciplines. The application period opens in mid-October and closes in mid-January. The admission outcomes are usually announced in late March. 

Cost to Study

Scholarships

Admission Requirement

The University of Skövde's admission process is thoroughly designed to assess applicants' academic credentials and ensure alignment with the Institution's high standards. FAQs

The University of Skövde does not permit the division of tuition fee payments into smaller instalments per semester. Following Swedish regulations, the first instalment of the tuition fee must be paid in full for the entire first semester. This payment must be made by the deadline specified on the invoice issued by the University.

Scholarships awarded by the University of Skövde cannot be deferred. Each scholarship is valid only for the academic semester and programme start date specified in the official scholarship decision. If a student postpones their studies, the scholarship offer becomes void.

If a student is unable to commence their studies due to a delay in the residence permit decision or a rejection by the Swedish Migration Agency, they will not be permitted to start the program. In such cases, the student is eligible to apply for a refund of the tuition fee already paid, subject to the university’s refund policy.

Yes, the University of Skövde offers airport pick-up services on specific dates at the beginning of each academic semester. To avail of this service, students must complete and submit the official Airport Pick-Up Request Form available on the University’s website.

To register in the Swedish Population Register and receive a personal identity number (personnummer), students must notify the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket) by visiting one of their local service offices after arriving in Sweden. Eligibility for a personal identity number requires that the student holds a residence permit valid for at least 12 months. Once registration is complete, the Swedish Tax Agency will issue the personal number.
