Intakes

Aston University offers a well-arranged and flexible academic calendar with multiple intakes throughout the year, accommodating a diverse range of programs and student needs. These Aston University intakes commence in September, January and April.
 

The September intake operates as the main entry point for all the Aston University courses. A comprehensive selection of programs across various disciplines begins during this period, offering international students the broadest range of study options. This intake aligns with the traditional academic year, facilitating a cohesive learning experience and ample opportunities for engagement in university activities and events.

The January intake provides an alternative start date for select Postgraduate Taught and Undergraduate courses, allowing students to commence their studies in the new year. This option is particularly beneficial for those who may need additional time to meet entry requirements or who prefer a later start. For the April intake, selected Postgraduate courses are available. This intake allows students to begin their studies in the spring semester. 
 

Cost to Study at Aston University, UK

Aston University provides transparent and structured tuition fee arrangements for international students across various levels of study. Aston University fees for Indian students are the same as for international students. To confirm a place in their chosen program, international students are required to pay a tuition fee deposit, the amount is specified in the offer letter. This deposit is deducted from the total University tuition fee and is payable by the deadline indicated in the offer letter.
 

To cover the Aston University cost, payment can be made online via credit or debit card, or through bank transfer.

Scholarships Available

Aston University awards and supports outstanding international students through a comprehensive range of scholarships based on their academic excellence. Notably, the University has allocated over £2 million in scholarships. The Aston University fully funded scholarship, in particular, is offered to students planning to start their business post-graduation. The application process includes submitting a detailed proposal outlining the candidate's business idea and future plans.
 

Aston University Undergraduate scholarships include Merit-based, Regional-specific and Chancellor’s scholarships. While some of the UK scholarships are considered automatically, others might require additional applications.

Admission Requirements

Aston University maintains precise entry requirements to ensure that students are well-prepared for the academic curriculum of their chosen programs. Identifying that some students may not meet these direct entry requirements for Aston University, alternative Pathways and Pre-master courses are available to facilitate academic progression.

✅ Indian students need to have a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field from a recognized Indian institution. The minimum aggregate should be 50- 70% or higher. 
✅ For an MBA, Indian students need to have at least a 2:2 (lower second-class honours) degree or its equivalent. A minimum of three years of relevant post-graduation work experience by the time you start your program.

✅ IELTS: An overall score of 6 with no bands less than 5.5 individually.
✅ PTE: An overall score of 64 with no less than 59 in each sub-test.
✅ TOEFL: An overall score of 78 with no scores less than 20 in Writing, 17 in Speaking, 12 in Reading, and 11 in Listening.

Note* - English Language waiver is offered if the score is 65% and above in the 12th Standard for ICSE & CBSE Boards and 70% and above for State Boards, along with Medium of Instruction (MOI). 

✅ Indian students need to have a minimum overall aggregate between 85%- 90% in Standard 12th. 

✅ IELTS: An overall score of 6 with no bands less than 5.5 individually.
✅ PTE: An overall score of 64 with no less than 59 in each sub-test.
✅ TOEFL: An overall score of 78 with no scores less than 20 in Writing, 17 in Speaking, 12 in Reading, and 11 in Listening.

Common FAQs

Applicants should submit their visa application no later than three months from the date their a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) is assigned. As part of the application process, they will be required to provide their intended travel date to the UK. The visa will generally be valid from that specified travel date and entry into the UK is not permitted before the start date recorded on the visa.
 

Students enrolled in a full-time course are generally required to attend lectures and workshops for four days per week throughout the academic year. In addition to in-person sessions, master's courses involve a substantial amount of independent study, which is a standard expectation at this level.
