Intakes

There are 2 intakes offered by Cardiff University. Students can apply for Masters and Bachelors programs in both the intakes. For Undergraduate programs, students can apply to up to five courses before the application deadlines through UCAS.

The University offers all Bachelors and Masters courses in this intake.

Cost to Study at Cardiff University, UK

The Cardiff University fees depend on the course, mode, and level of study. The University cost includes a deposit that students need to pay to secure their place. The University offers students the option to pay their fees in full on or before enrolment.
 

The payments can be made in 3 instalments using direct debit  (usually payable in November, January and April), or in one installment if the sum due is less than or equal to £500. In cases where direct debit is not an option, students can pay one third of the fee before or on enrollment and the rest of the payment can be made in January and April.

Scholarships Available

Cardiff University offers many UK scholarships for international students. The scholarships are available at the Masters as well as the Bachelors level.  The University offers country-specific, course-specific, and scholarships for women in STEM fields.
 

Apart from these, the university also offers Ph.D research scholarships. Students can also get advice on managing finances at the University.

Admission Requirements

At Cardiff University, applicants who have not yet met the Postgraduate entry requirements may still receive a conditional offer, allowing them time to meet the necessary criteria before the course begins. For Undergraduate students, the University provides a range of preparation courses designed for those who do not yet hold the qualifications required to enter the first year of a degree program. The requirements for Postgraduate and Undergraduate  Masters and Bachelors programs for this University applicable for Indian students is are specified here.    

✅ Students need 55% and above in Bachelors from Tire 1 Universities or 60% and above from other Universities. The requirement may vary from course to course.

✅ Some courses require an SOP in a specific format. 

✅ IELTS: Applicants need an overall score of 6.5 with no less than 5.5 in each band. 
✅ PTE: Students need an overall score of 69 with no less than 59 in each band. 
✅ TOEFL iBT: Applicants need an overall score of 90 with 17 in Writing, 17 in Listening, 18 in Reading, and 20 in Speaking.

Cardiff University offers a wide range of services for students. There are a lot of activities, clubs, societies and more for students offered by the Student Union at Cardiff. Sudents applying for Masters can apply through the online application portal via their course and research area pages. Students can save their application and return to it later, so they can do it at a later date. For Bachelors, students can apply through UCAS.

Students need to first fly to the UK, likely landing at an airport like London Heathrow or Bristol Airport, and then travel to Cardiff by train, coach, or car.

The University prefers payment of tuition fees in full before students arrive in Cardiff. However, a student who is a self-financing student may pay their tuition fees in equal instalments each year. The first instalment is usually due in September (when students enrol online). The second instalment is usually due in January, and the third instalment is usually due in April.

Whether a student received a conditional or an unconditional offer letter, details of the deposit deadline will be included in the official Cardiff University offer letter.

The deposit amount is different for different courses. for clinical programmes like MSc Clinical Dermatology, the amount is £5,000, for Graduate Diploma Law it is £1,000, and £2,500 for all other postgraduate taught programmes. Students will receive confirmation of their deposit amount and information about how to make the payment in their offer letter.
