Intakes

Heriot-Watt University offers two intakes: September and January. Students can choose their preferred semester and select the courses they wish to study. A maximum of four courses per semester (60 credits) can be taken, except for Textiles and Design, where students can enroll in up to three courses per semester.

September is the primary intake, offering most courses across various study levels.

January is a secondary intake, available only for Postgraduate courses.

Cost to Study at Heriot Watt University, UK

Students paying some or all of their Heriot-Watt University fees must complete the payment within 30 days of the program start date. Payments can be made securely online using a credit or debit card, with no additional charges from the University.  
 

However, if the payment is made from a non-GBP account, the bank may apply conversion fees. For added flexibility, students can opt for a six-month installment plan through the University’s secure online payment system. This option must be set up before the closing date. Additional fees may apply during studies.

Admission Requirements

Heriot-Watt University admission is based on an individual assessment, where experience and skills are valued alongside formal qualifications. The University considers factors such as motivation and understanding of the chosen program during the evaluation process.
