Intakes

Manchester Metropolitan University offers two intakes. On the Master's level, some courses may have their own application process compared to the majority. After applying, students will receive an automated response via email that will have their MET ID along with instructions to access the application portal. For Bachelor’s level, Manchester Metropolitan University intakes have certain important dates for meeting offer conditions and for requesting CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies). 

In this intake, the University offers all the courses available for students to apply to the Master's and Bachelor's levels.

Cost to Study at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK

The Manchester Metropolitan University tuition fee for international students is dependent on what students choose to study and their tuition fee status. If a student’s immigration status changes, they may be eligible for a tuition fee adjustment. For both Master's and Bachelor’s programs, the cost range is a little similar; however, the total expense varies based on the duration of the chosen course.
 

The tuition fees for Postgraduate research programs are divided into 3 bands that cover different costs. Students need to pay a deposit each year, which can be paid through Flywire.

Scholarships Available

Manchester Metropolitan University scholarships for international students are available at the Masters and Bachelors levels. For these scholarships, students need to be accepted into a full-time course taught at either level.
 

Students may be eligible for up to a £3,500 reduction in tuition fees during their first year of study.  They do not need to apply separately for these scholarships. Moreover, students can also apply for additional scholarships related to sports achievements and participation.

Admission Requirements

Manchester Metropolitan University admission requirements differ at different levels of education. Meeting the English Language Proficiency requirements is essential for admission. However, students who do not meet these criteria can enrol in pre-sessional English courses offered by the University to improve their language skills before starting their academic program. Here are the admission requirements for Indian students at Masters and Bachelors level.

✅ Students require a minimum score of either 55% or a GPA of 6.0/10 in a Bachelor's degree. 
✅ Some courses may have higher entry requirements

✅ IELTS: Students require an overall score of 6.5, with no component below 5.5.
✅ PTE Academic: A total score of 65 is needed, with no section score below 59 
✅ TOEFL iBT: An overall score of 89 is required. Students need a section score of 17 for Listening, 18 for Reading, 20 for Speaking and 17 for Writing.

✅ Students with 70-80% in Grade 12th English (CBSE and CISCE (ISC) exam boards) can expect an English Language Waiver

✅ Students need to have a score between 70%-75% in Grade 12th, depending on the board
✅ Some courses may have subject  specific requirements. In such cases, 65% - 75% must be achieved in the specified subject depending on the required grade (C or B) and the board of study.

✅ IELTS: A total score of 6.0 bands is needed, with a minimum component of 5.5 or above.
✅ PTE Academic:  An overall score of 61 is required, with no component score below 59. 
✅ TOEFL iBT:  A score of 79 is required with 17 in Listening, 18 in Reading, 20 in Speaking and 17 in Writing.

Manchester Metropolitan University, UK Placements Overview

Manchester Metropolitan University has many placement services for students.  Students can get 3 types of placements including, sandwich placements, summer internships, and part-time internships. Students can also choose a placement year. The University offers a range of online self-help resources designed to support students in enhancing their job applications and securing their desired roles.

After enrolling, it can take up to 2 working days for the timetable to appear.
