Northumbria University provides multiple entry points throughout the academic year. Beginning in September, January and May, these Northumbria University intakes are planned to accommodate a diverse range of programs and study levels.
This is the University’s major intake that occurs in September. It has a complete selection of Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs across various disciplines. This intake aligns with the traditional academic calendar, allowing students to experience the full breadth of University life from the start of the academic year.
For those unable to begin their studies in September, Northumbria University offers a January intake. This minor intake primarily features selected Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs.
The University's London Campus specifically offers a May intake. Only certain Postgraduate programs are available during this alternate minor intake.
Cost to Study at Northumbria University, UK
Northumbria University offers a diverse range of programs with tuition fees varying by course, level of study and the student’s residency status. Additionally, international applicants are required to pay a tuition fee deposit before enrolment. This deposit must be paid in full and is a prerequisite for the issuance of a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) as it is essential for student visa applications.

✅ Indian students need to have a minimum score of 65% in bachelors for courses requiring a 2:1 qualification. For students belonging to Delhi, Mumbai or Pune Universities a minimum score of 60% is accepted.
✅ IELTS Academic: An overall score of 6.5 with a 5.5 for individual bands is accepted.
Note: Some programs may expect higher IELTS scores. English language waiver is possible if the scores are above 60% in 12th standard for ICSE or CBSE and above 70% in selected State Boards. (Except Punjab, Gujarat, Bihar, Utter Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Haryana regions).
✅ Indian students are expected to have 65% and above in 12th standard from the CBSE or CISC board.
✅ IELTS Academic: An overall score of 6.0 with a 5.5 for individual bands is accepted.
