Intakes

SOAS University of London intakes are offered in multiple months. Applications for Postgraduate programmes are open for all available intakes. For Undergraduate programmes, the academic year begins in September, and applications are submitted through UCAS, which opens in September of the previous year. This timeline allows students to apply up to 12 months in advance of the course start date.

All Postgraduate, Undergraduate, and PhD programmes are available during this primary intake.

During these intakes, only selected Postgraduate and a few PhD programmes are offered.

Admission Requirements

Entry requirements at SOAS University of London vary depending on the course and level of study, whether Postgraduate or Undergraduate. All international applicants are required to demonstrate a high level of English proficiency to ensure they can successfully complete their chosen program.

Students who do not fully meet the English language requirements may be offered support through an in-sessional English course or a four- or eight-week pre-sessional English programme, depending on their test scores. Indian students can view specific admission requirements here.
