Intakes

The University of East London (UEL) provides a flexible academic calendar designed to accommodate the diverse needs of international students by offering multiple UK intakes each year. With three distinct University of East London intakes in September, January, and May, the University ensures that students can commence their academic journey at a time that best suits their goals and preparation timelines.

The September intake is the major entry period, welcoming students to a full spectrum of Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programs. It is the most comprehensive intake, offering access to nearly all disciplines across UEL's academic departments. The academic year begins with orientation, followed by welcome activities and the start of classes.

The January intake offers a selective range of course options, including Postgraduate programs, a few Undergraduate programs, and an extensive choice of foundation courses. This intake provides valuable entry pathways for those who miss the September deadline or seek additional time to prepare. The May intake, while more limited, includes some Postgraduate courses and a Pre-Master’s program, offering yet another opportunity for students to begin their studies without waiting for the next academic year.
