Overview

The University of Greenwich is a leading modern public university based in London, UK, and was established in 1890. It was originally known as Woolwich Polytechnic and was granted university status in 1992. It operates from three campuses—two in London and one in Medway. The primary campus is situated at the historic Old Royal Naval College, while the Avery Hill campus is also located within the Royal Borough of Greenwich. The Medway campus, on the other hand, is a shared facility in Kent.

Admission Requirements

The University of Greenwich admission criteria differ for both Postgraduate and Undergraduate Programs. In addition to academic transcripts, international students are also required to demonstrate English language proficiency through test scores.

✅ Applicants must hold an Undergraduate Degree with a minimum of 55% in the final year.
✅ Graduates from the following universities are eligible with a minimum of 50% in the final year:
o University of Mumbai
o Savitribai Phule Pune University

o Bangalore University
o University of Madras

For certain specialized Postgraduate programs, a four-year Undergraduate Degree with at least 65% in the final year is required.
Applicants from the six universities listed above may be considered with a minimum of 60% in the final year.

✅ IELTS (Academic/UKVI): Overall score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component
✅ TOEFL iBT (in-person only): Overall score of 82, with no less than 17 in listening and writing,  18 in reading and 20 in speaking 
✅ PTE Academic (in-person only): Overall score of 63 with no less than 51 in each skill

✅ Applicants who achieved at least 70% in English in their Standard XII examinations may be exempt from submitting an English proficiency test.
✅ This waiver does not apply to candidates from the following states:

o Uttar Pradesh
o Gujarat

✅  Applicants must have successfully completed Standard XII with a minimum of 65%, within the last two years.
Advanced Entry (Year 2 or Year 3)
✅ To be considered for direct entry into the second or third year, applicants must have completed the first year of a relevant Undergraduate Degree with at least 60%.

✅ IELTS: Overall score of 6.0, with no component below 5.5
✅ PTE : Overall score of 59 with no less than 51 in each skill
✅ TOEFL: Overall score of 72, with no less than 17 in listening and writing,  18 in reading and 20 in speaking

✅ Students who have scored 70% or higher in English in Standard XII may be exempt from additional English language testing.
✅ This waiver is not available for applicants from:
