Common FAQs

International students can apply up to one year before their course begins. The University accepts applications throughout the year. While most programs begin in September, many Postgraduate courses also offer a January intake, providing flexibility in start dates.

Once an application is submitted, students may receive one of the following responses: An unconditional offer, meaning all admission requirements are met. A conditional offer, meaning certain conditions must be fulfilled, such as final academic results or English proficiency. An unsuccessful outcome, meaning the application did not meet the entry criteria.

Yes, students from outside the UK will need a visa to study. To apply, they must first accept their unconditional offer and pay a tuition deposit. They’ll then receive a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies), which is required for the visa process. Visa interviews may include questions about the course, university choice, and English skills. It’s best to start early, though CAS is only issued three months before classes begin.

If a student cannot start their course, they can withdraw or decline their offer through the Applicant Portal. If the reason is temporary, they may defer to the next intake. If a tuition deposit was paid, it can usually be carried forward. For more details on refunds, students should check the university’s official admissions policy page.

After receiving an offer, students should respond as soon as possible using the Applicant Portal. Through this portal, they can upload documents, apply for housing, and manage fee payments. Those needing a UK visa will receive further steps for applying. Before classes begin, a welcome email will provide enrolment details, payment options, and information about orientation events.
