The University of Strathclyde offers multiple UK intakes for international students, with direct applications accepted throughout the year. Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis. All students must complete their registration no later than the start date of their chosen program.

This is a major intake, open for most courses across all study levels.

The University of Strathclyde tuition fees for international students vary based on the chosen course and level of study. Students can pay their fees in full or in three instalments. Instalment plans can be set up during online registration using recurring or non-recurring card payments.  
 

The University has partnered with Flywire, a global payment provider, to ensure secure and convenient transactions. Students must use their allocated student number when making payments to ensure correct processing.

Scholarships Available

The University of Strathclyde provides a range of UK scholarships to support self-funded international students, including specific awards for Indian students pursuing Postgraduate studies. Postgraduate and Undergraduate students can receive scholarships of up to £8,000.
 

Additionally, high-achieving international applicants may qualify for a 25% tuition fee reduction per year. The University also offers full tuition fee scholarships for select Postgraduate research students from the UK and abroad.

Admission Requirements

The University of Strathclyde entry requirements vary depending on the chosen course. The Pre-Masters Programme offers academic and English language modules to prepare students for Postgraduate study. Similarly, students who do not meet the direct entry requirements for an Undergraduate degree can enrol in the Undergraduate Foundation Programme. These pathway programs help international students meet the necessary academic and language requirements for their desired degree at the University of Strathclyde. ✅ A first-class Undergraduate degree with approximately 60% from a recognized Indian institution. 
✅ A minimum of 55% for applicants from the University of Mumbai, University of Calcutta, and University of Delhi. 
✅ Graduates from IITs and IIMs with a minimum of 55% will also be considered. 
✅ MBA applicants must submit a CV and responses to essay questions along with their application. 
✅ The MSc Counselling & Psychotherapy program requires a minimum of 60%. 

✅ IELTS: Overall 6.5, with no individual band below 5.5. 
✅ For Faculty of Science: Overall 6.0, with no band below 5.5. 
✅ For Department of Design, Manufacturing & Engineering Management: Overall 6.0, with no band below 5.5. 
✅ PTE: Overall 60, with no band below 59 (equivalent to IELTS 6.0 with 5.5). Overall 58+, with no band below 54 (equivalent to IELTS 6.5 with 6.0). 
✅ TOEFL iBT: Overall 73, with minimum section scores, Listening: 17, Reading: 18, Speaking: 20 and Writing: 18 
 

✅ The University allows an MOI (Medium of Instruction) certificate to waive the IELTS requirement for Postgraduate programs. 
✅ The degree must have been completed within the last five years and must be issued by the University. 
✅ Applicants following the 10th>12th>3-year diploma pathway may also qualify for the waiver. MOI is not accepted for students from Punjab and Haryana.

Applicants must have achieved 70-75% in all subjects at both Level XII and Level X. Performance should be particularly strong in the intended field of study. 

✅ IELTS: Overall 6.5, with no individual band below 5.5. Faculty of Science: Overall 6.0, with no band below 5.5. 
✅ Department of Design, Manufacturing & Engineering Management: Overall 6.0, with no band below 5.5. 
✅ PTE:  Overall 60, with no band below 59 (equivalent to IELTS 6.0 with 5.5). Overall 58+, with no band below 54 (equivalent to IELTS 6.5 with 6.0).
