Founded in 1899 as a teacher-training institution, San Francisco State University (SF State) has grown into a dynamic Public University known for academic excellence and a strong commitment to inclusive education. Admission Requirement

To secure admission at San Francisco State University, applicants must meet the basic entry requirements set by their Chosen Department or Degree Program. In addition, all students, regardless of citizenship, are required to demonstrate English Language Proficiency through tests or prior academic instruction in English.
