Overview

Established just before the Civil War in 1857 as the first State Normal School, San Jose State University is a dynamic and comprehensive university that is located in San Jose, which is the 10th largest city in the USA.  The San Jose State University has two campuses – one in downtown San Jose, which is the main campus, and the south campus, also in San Jose.
 

Both campuses have a lot of facilities and services in academics, athletics, and more. Intakes

Admission Requirement

On the Graduate level, the University offers a step-by-step guide to apply for their desired course. Admission in USA’s San Jose State University is competitive in all major courses offered, which means the University has more applicants compared to the space for students. This situation is called impaction  which means students who meet the minimum requirements of the University do not have guaranteed admission. The impaction criteria for courses may differ from the course requirements. This is primarily applicable to undergraduate applicants.
