Intakes

Intakes to study at SUNY Oswego University are categorized into Fall, Spring, and Summer Intake. Depending on the program and level of study, students should choose their intake carefully.

Held in August, the Fall Intake includes all academic programs across all study levels.

Starting in January, this intake is open to selected Undergraduate and Graduate courses.

Beginning in May, the Summer Intake is available for specific Graduate-level programs only.

Cost of Studying at State University of New York at Oswego

Cost to study in SUNY Oswego depends on the level of study and the chosen program. Scholarships

International Graduate applicants can apply for Graduate Assistantships, including roles such as Graduate Teaching Assistant, Graduate Research Assistant, Academic Support Assistant, and Professional Graduate Assistant. These positions come with benefits such as campus store discounts, paid holidays, sick leave, and additional campus privileges.
 

SUNY Oswego scholarships for international Undergraduate students are awarded based on academic merit. No separate application is required; eligible students are automatically notified upon admission. Funding comes from the university, the Oswego College Foundation, the Oswego Alumni Association, and affiliated organizations.

Admission Requirement

SUNY Oswego accepts a broad range of qualifications for both Graduate and Undergraduate Programs. For Graduate-level admission, most international applicants are required to submit credential evaluations through World Education Services (WES). This requirement does not apply to Undergraduate admissions.
 

In addition to meeting academic criteria, applicants must also demonstrate English language proficiency. This is typically done by submitting scores from accepted tests such as the TOEFL iBT, IELTS, or Cambridge English qualifications.
