To secure admission at the State University of New York at New Paltz, students need to meet the required academic qualifications. 1. Do international students receive dedicated support on campus?

Yes, SUNY New Paltz requires a $100 enrollment deposit for students admitted to the One-Year MBA program. This deposit secures the student's place in the program and is credited toward the first semester’s tuition.&nbsp;

2. Is there an enrollment deposit for the MS program?

Yes, SUNY New Paltz considers applicants with 15 years of formal education for admission to its Master’s programs. International students, including those from India with a three-year Bachelor’s Degree, may be eligible provided the degree is from an institution accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an ‘A’ grade. Applicants holding other three-year degrees need to submit a course-by-course credential evaluation from a recognized agency affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) to determine U.S. degree equivalency.

3. Does SUNY New Paltz accept applicants with 15 years of education?

SUNY New Paltz offers a JFK Airport Shuttle Service specifically for international students arriving on the university’s official airport pickup day. Students can request this service through a link shared in the official pre-arrival communications. It’s important to note that the shuttle operates only on the designated date. For up-to-date information, students should stay in touch with the International Student Services (ISS) office or refer to email communications sent before arrival.

4. How can international students request the JFK Airport Shuttle?

Yes, graduate assistantship positions are available to international students, though they are limited and awarded on a competitive basis. These roles often include part-time work within academic departments, such as assisting with teaching or research, in exchange for a tuition waiver and/or stipend.&nbsp;

5. Are graduate assistantships open to international students?

The State University of New York at New Paltz offers two intakes for international students. For Graduate studies, applicants are required to complete and submit an online application. For Undergraduate level, students can apply through the Common Application or the SUNY Application to pursue their studies at SUNY New Paltz. Students are encouraged to apply early to facilitate timely review and receive decisions sooner.

All Graduate and Undergraduate programs are available; however, some programs like MSBA and MFA are only available in the Fall.
