Intakes

There are two intakes in USA, and the University of Connecticut follows the same standard admission cycles. Since the university receives a high volume of applications, students are encouraged to start the application process well in advance to secure their spot.

Also known as the primary intake, this Fall intake offers admission to undergraduate and Graduate programs.

The Spring intake serves as the secondary major admission period and provides international students with the opportunity to start their graduate studies in select Masters programs.

Cost of Studying at University of Connecticut

Scholarships

First-year applicants are automatically considered for most merit-based scholarships to study at University of Connecticut, USA. Admission Requirement

The University of Connecticut admissions requirements for international first-year undergrad applicants include completing either the Common Application or the Apply Coalition with Scoir. There is no preference between these options, but only one application needs to be submitted. For certain programs, a personal essay is mandatory. While two letters of recommendation are optional, they can strengthen the application. ✅ Be enrolled full-time in a graduate degree program that covers the full appointment period 

✅ Meet UConn’s English proficiency requirements if the role involves teaching or direct classroom interaction Graduate Teaching Assistants are also expected to submit proof of English language proficiency as per the university’s Teaching Assistant policy.
